News 1963

September 16, 2018, a new era in rail transport began!
In Germany, he carried out his first voyage on a hydrogen fuel cell. The fuel cell converts the energy of hydrogen into an electric current. Thanks to this, the train can reach speeds of up to 140 km / h, but most importantly - this fuel does not pollute the environment.

The supply of hydrogen for the train will be replenished at special gas stations. And for one refueling the train will be able to cover a distance of up to 1000 km.

The very next day, on September 17, the world's first hydrogen fuel train went on a route linking Bremerforde with the cities of Cuxhaven, Bremerhaven and Buxtehude.

In the future, the Ministry of Lower Saxony plans to replace all regional trains with hydrogen ones.
