The railway station of Lviv is the first railway station on the territory of Ukraine. The station was opened in 1861. However, the station got its present-day look only in 1904 when a new building was erected in place of an old one. Prominent architects were involved in the creation of the most cutting-edge railway station building in the whole of Europe. Over time, the building has been subject to destruction; the station was completely restored in 2003.
When a traveler arrives in a new city, the first impression of it comes exactly from the railway station. The railway station of Lviv is not just an administrative building but a masterpiece of the Art Nouveau architecture. That’s why, upon arriving at the platform of the Lviv railway station, every visitor of the city becomes immersed in the atmosphere of legends and magic.

There is also a ticket hall, VIP room, lounge rooms, several cafés, hair salon, pharmacy kiosks and newsstands, several luggage storages on the territory of the Lviv railway station.
